Documents will be stored on site in Line Scan’s secure premises that are protected by modern intruder detection systems (IDS) and fire detection systems. Access to the building is restricted and controlled during business hours and visitors are escorted at all times whilst on-site.
The IDS is linked to a central control station that provides a 24 hour monitoring service that will call for police or fire service response and notify designated key holders in the event of an alarm.
Our premises and Security Procedures are regularly audited by Government Security Advisers to ensure that the necessary standards of protective security are met to allow the handling, storage and processing of documents up to the security classification of SECRET.
All Line Scan staff have a security clearance level to Secret and the responsibility for security within Line Scan lies with the Universal Engineering Security Controller.
Checks are carried out on potential employees including proof of identity and the taking up of references. Every employee is Security Vetted on joining the Company and is required to maintain a Security Clearance to SECRET; in addition all staff are required to sign the Official Secrets Act.
Access to confidential information is on a strictly ‘need to know’ basis. Any unauthorised disclosure of confidential information is considered as an act of gross misconduct and will be dealt with accordingly.
Access to the computer network is controlled with separate log-in and passwords for all users with multiple permission levels in accordance with the Company’s SSP.
Documents are processed in-house at our secure premises as detailed above and held in approved boxes that are sealed and dated thus providing a complete audit trail of access and retrievals.
Company Security Procedures covering receipt, handling, movement and processing of classified documents are also available for inspection at any time. Any specific procedures required can be discussed with our staff.
